HAPPLES!?

01/07/2003 - 8:33 p.m. | another day

Along with many others, I too watched "Joe Millionaire" last night. I dunno - I was none too impressed. The guy seems sort of dopey, and he's suddenly getting second thoughts about his massive lie... "Duh - wait! This isn't nice!" Way to go, turbo. At least the girls aren't very attractive :) I was hoping he'd pick the Asian ho chick.

Rumor has it (well, I heard it from Lis) that there's supposed to be some EXTRA big surprise at the end. My theory is that they will give the happy couple a shitload of money anyway... Bets?

Work was fine today... Well, normal. I'm worried because I'm starting to make too much money at my job, and Mr. Boss might lower the rate on it. God forbid his theory about the thousands of dollars spent on repairing the machine actually making it run better be true; I think that, with the addition of British rap and the Powerpuff Girls soundtrack into my arsenal, I've become the hardest working man in the world. Yes. But really... I made $70 today - in like 5.5 hours! And I was trying to go slow at the end! And I left early! I don't care if it's unfair; we finally got our piece of the piiiiie!

I might be getting a bit of a cold or something, which sorta sucks, but I saw this product you can take that is supposed to shorten the lifespan of a cold by like 3 times! Finally, science. Now, rocket car! Fuckers.

Man, worst sound in the world today. This guy are work was used a dull, high-powered saw to cut all these sheets of aluminum right next to me. Now, I've heard some pretty awful sounds at this place, but this one takes the cake. Not exactly high-pitched, but LOUD. Really loud. My one ear is still shot from it. I can only describe it by taking an ice pick and shoving it directly into your ear canal. And that, kids, is called murder.

I got an IMSA alum newsletter in the mail today. 2 things: 1) there's gonna be an info session for new students at Illinois Valley Community College (about 30 minutes away from here - virtually nothing for us podunk folk!), and I have since volunteered to help with Q & A - HAHAHAHAHA 2) According to the tracking devices that were inserted into our necks, an alum from '95-7 class won an Oscar for best screenplay. I tried doing a little detective work, but apparently "ph + imdb" does not equal "solve mystery." I shall delve deeper.

I won't be soothed,
Nate
